This blog is about eating issues, body image and self
esteem.
The goal is to figure out how to have great self-esteem without caring about a number on the scale!
I have read your blog off and on and wanted to share some information with you that may help you and your readers. Together with four other survivors I run MentorCONNECT, the first free global online mentoring community that pairs individuals in strong ED recovery with people who need recovery support. We also offer a Monday night chat e-support group. The community is based on the concept of mentoring found in my new book, Beating Ana: How to Outsmart Your Eating Disorder and Take Your Life Back.
www.key-to-life.com has more info about the book and how to join MentorCONNECT. It is great to know about your blog and I think the topic of self-esteem in recovery is so vital - and not discussed enough!
Shannon: Thank you for writing, and thank you for the wonderful information. i don't often write on this anymore. Do you mind posting all the info on http://www.ihatetoweightandmore.blogspot.com
I was born hungry. My doctor had me on skim milk at six months. Since then, I've been anorexic (90 pounds at 5'6), a compulsive eater (200 pounds) and bulimic (somewhere in the middle). I'm doing well now but still want to explore the fascination with weight and how so many of us base our mood, decisions and self-esteem on what we weigh
